You Don’t Find Meaning, You Make It

“You don’t find meaning, you make it.”

Words of wisdom scrolled on the blood red brick of a bathroom stall.

Here I was 2,300 miles from home searching for that meaning—just to find the answers in the toilet of a coffee shop.

Don’t search for meaning—make it yourself.

What excites you?

What would you do right now if you knew you would die in 3 months?

Do it now.

“Don’t aim at success—the more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue.” —Victor Frankl

Meaning isn’t something you find—it’s a byproduct of following your calling, your purpose, your inner moonlight.

“Follow your inner moonlight; don’t hide the madness.” —Allen Ginsberg

Stop living your life waiting for the right timing, a better opportunity, retirement.

We can’t spend our lives waiting to live—start now.

Now is all we have.

“If you don’t feel like you fit in this world, it’s because you are here to help create a new one.” Jocelyn Daher

Everything that we have in this life from our cell phones to our sneakers was made by another human.

It was thought up.

It was created.

By people just like you and me.

Create your own world—your own meaning.

Don’t hide the madness.
