Let Doubt Prevail!

“One of the painful things about our time is that those who feel certainty are stupid and those with any imagination and understanding are filled with doubt and indecision.’ Let doubt prevail” —Stephen Fry quoting Bertrand Russell

Lego My Ego

I’m tired of worrying about being right all the time, looking cool, making people laugh, spelling all my words rite, acting out the ideal. Sometimes I think our egos do more harming than protecting. I’m of the mind to let “Mr. Perfect” know there’s something more meaningful out there once we drop the herd mentality and strike out on a “less than certain” path.

Why not? We all die in the end right? If I try something new and I fail, what’s the worse that can happen? I look stupid? Really? Oh well I better not flex the most powerful known computer in the universe—I might look like a doofus.

What’s to say your life plan is right for me or her or you or vice versa? Do you think anyone really has this figured out? Why listen to what I’m saying? I’m just a mailman that takes pictures.

“Big egos are big shields for lots of empty space.” Diana Black

A big ego will kill your talent. Smack that mofo back in his place and let your higher self take control.

“You can either be a host to God, or a hostage to your ego. It’s your call.” —Wayne Dyer

Whatever you do—don’t be afraid of looking stoopid.

The Fool Is The Hero

“In order to grow we must be open to learn.” —Jim Ward, Sparta

At the beginning of any epic journey the hero of the story is a fool.

Frodo Baggins is innocent and naive to the power of the ring, yet he takes on the burden and carries it. #middleearthswag

Neo lives in a dream world & has no idea what will happen by taking the red pill. #learnskungfu

Luke is a moisture farmer who has never left his home planet. #stillkisseshissister

If we are to grow as artists we must realize that at the beginning of our journey, doubt is not a reason to end things before they begin—doubt is a sign that we have discovered something new to learn.

You spend more time with yourself than anyone you know—so be the most interesting person that you know. Thanks Larry Winget!

My new motto: “If I look like a doofus—good.” Thumbs up. That means I’m venturing into the unknown. If I wasn’t venturing into the unknown, I wouldn’t be growing as a person—and I don’t want to hang out with people that don’t help me grow.

Look stupid doing something new!
