Oh hey gang,
What have I taken a bite of this week?
Music:
Fleetwood Mac have been my jam. Specifically Gypsy (the music video for this song was the first ever world premiere music video on MTV in 1982).
I’ve been playing the Tiny Desk performances of Phoenix & Foster The People on repeat.
Books:
This week I listened to the audible version of The Art Of Possibility by Rosamund Stone Zander & Benjamin Zander.
12 Practices
- It’s All Invented.
- Stepping into a universe of possibility.
- Giving an A.
- Being a contribution.
- Leading from any chair.
- Rule Number.
- The way things are.
- Giving way to passion.
- Lighting a spark.
- Being the board.
- Creating frameworks for possibility.
- Telling the “we” story.
This is an excellent book for helping cultivate a different mindset on the creative process. Orchestral music analogies are used throughout the book to illustrate ideas from each of the 12 practices. For a more in-depth explanation of these 12 lessons, read the book.
